August 8th, 2014 was, unbeknownst to me at the time, a day of rebirth. Only now, three years later, can I view it as such. And as often happens when I allow myself to think back on that time, a lyric or poem or verse channels its way through from my heart to my pen. Todays words are not a lament of the past, but more an acknowledgement of my journey of truth uncovered, strength discovered.... that glorious path from the darkness to the light.
